Do-Now

Look at the map below and explain what the 3 areas in red have in common.
Use your chromebook to research if needed. Be specific with your answer
(Don't forget to name the red areas.)
Be ready to discuss in 10 minutes.

Watch the video from Khan Academy on types of seismic waves. After watching the video, make a mind map using Mindmup (www.mindmup.com/) on the types of seismic waves. Be sure to include a note about each type as well. Share your mind map on Google classroom.

Why Blog??

The purpose of my Science blog is to inform and keep my students and parents connected with our classroom and the world of Science. My blog will serve as a place to find class announcements, assignments, parent information, extra help and lots of interesting science stuff.

There also will be opportunities for students to comment and ask questions throughout the school year.

I will use my blog to enhance and extend classroom learning. I hope to make it a place of discovery through articles, videos and other digital tools to connect to Science outside the classroom.
